Hello All,

First of all from all of us at Ramsbottom Model Railway Club we hope you all had a nice Christmas and a Happy New Year 2012 to you all.

Sorry for the lack of updates but to be fair with the horrible weather we have had over the last couple of weeks we havent really done much but drunk tea, coffee, eaten biscuits and huddled around the fire to keep warm.

Tonight was the first time we have met up in 2012 and we ran out of coffee, typical! But no fear we still had tea bags and biscuits. Just three members down tonight being Me, Keith and Alan but Alex paid a flying visit on his way back from Scotland. No Roger, Harry or Mark tonight, not surprising as its the first week back.

We have also discovered some water build up coming into the toilet area from either the floor rising up or the air brick but this is bound to happen with an embankment built up against our building so when the weather becomes nicer we will get up on the embankment and see what we can do, according to keith there is a concrete channel up around that area that will require digging out again. Also at the same time the brambles will need their yearly trim.

A quick email was received from the Lancashire Telegraph wanting to do another article on the layout, so will keep you informed when i know more.

Speaking of articles, Alan found some old articles of the club that I will scan and show you including one of Adrians old layout.

Keith has had to reply new track in the warehouse road as its started to rust and wagons wouldnt run correctly over it, this has now been renewed and plastered, just waiting for it to dry then it will be recovered.

Also some news on the Bacup Shed…..We will hopefully be starting on the board in a couple of weeks….so watch this space.

Thats all for now

Dan
