Hello People.

Well tonight started with a visit fromĀ Rogers wife OliveĀ and her family who have kindly donated some of Rogers tools, equipment, an air compressor for spraying loco’s, spares, magazines and books. These will all come in handy so thank you Olive and family. Hopefully see you again soon.

We also had our AGM 2012 at long last only a few months our but considering that work and holidays all played apart then we havent done too bad. Apologies from Alex as hes on holiday and wasnt back till Sunday.

Just a quick update on all progress :-

  • There is a leg in the middle of the rear of the layout that is the only one to be made from wood. This has stood the test of time until last week we found out it had dry rot. Well this week its been replaced with a beefier piece we had in our stock pile. This was cut by Peter and placed by Dan, might just need packing a little.
  • Some of the legs on Ramsbottom have been knocked back into place on Ramsbottom and straightened out again.
  • It was found out that their are pits running the lenth of Bacup Shed as well as 4x more shorter ones on the outside, we are unsure whether to make the shed have full length pits to space and the need to drill the board.
  • The turntable motor has been wired and tested using AA batteries. This rotates the motor both ways.
  • Old magazines has been sorted due to Rogers collection arriving.
  • A dehumidifier has been acquired due and has been put to work in the corner adj the toilet entrance due to this being the worse area.
  • The use of storage heaters has been mentioned so we will be looking into them.
  • The biscuit tin has been refilled….as Dan, Keith and Alan have brought biscuits…panic over now.

Cheers

Dan
