Hello People

Just a few quick updates from the last couple of days in preparation for our open evening next Thursday :-

  • We have recently aquired two new smoke units from Gauge Master made by Seuthe Model Number 117 and smoke liquid to be positioned in the chimney of Stubbins Mill to replace the previous, also to fit a new one into the factory chimney of Field Mill, These are powered via a 15v transformer and are controlled by a switch.
  • We have also rolled out the black curtain that goes around the bottom of the layout, this hides the legs, wires, cables and any crap we dont want out friends to see. This also makes the layout look neater.
  • I have recently aquired a couple of Peco Track Rubbers, We have tried the Hornby ones after our old Peco rubbers had been used up but these were not great in anyway. So we went back to Peco. These are from hattons.
  • Also from Hattons is a Green Goddess which looks great but seems to be a bit large for the layout even though its 00 gauge.
  • My Bachmann Ivatt Class 2 2mt 2-6-0 46446 also arrived the same time as all the above so this has been run in lately pulling 3x Blood and Custard Mark 1s.
  • We have also decided to make a Pway Scene with some extra pway figures that we found in a jar, this includes men leaning on shovels, piles of ballast, sleepers and extra rails.
  • We have also recorded a few video’s of Field Mill and Stubbins Mill chimneys and also one of Ramsbottom with all the lights off except the building and signal lights.
